The agency FOUR TO ONE: scale design GmbH created a 250 metre long, near transparent veil made of steel, titled "Silent Movie". A World of Cars - "BMW Welt" in Munich [Hasta el momento sólo en inglés]
With nearly 1,000 square metres of space and room for 800 visitors, the "Auditorium" is the main centre for the latest lighting technology in the BMW Welt. The auditorium is multi-purpose and used for various performances including car presentations, company events, congresses, conferences, concerts and exhibitions. For this reason the installed lighting system had to offer high flexibility and reliability because moving lights, LEDs, media devices as well as conventionals should be controlled comfortably and easy. Furthermore multiple universes of DMX and complex lighting moods but also the house lights should be easily controlled via a touchscreen for day-to-day business or, if needed, for live shows as well. With the slogan “One World, One Dream” all nations were invited by the People's Republic of China to the Summer Olympics 2008, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad. The Opening Ceremony has been held in the Beijing National Stadium, - the "Bird's Nest” - which can seat as many as 91,000 spectators. More than 2,300 DMX controlled moving lights and 45,000 parameters transformed the stadium into a never before seen sea of lights. 3 x grandMA full-size plus 3 x grandMA full-size as backup, 2 x grandMA light as well as 46 x MA NSPs controlled the highly sophisticated lighting network during the Opening Ceremony.
