“grandMA2 just works best for me”: The Wombats count on MA

Alexandra Palace in North London was the venue for the Wombats’ largest production during their current tour, which has encompassed the UK, Europe and Australia since the beginning of 2015. Dan Hill is the lighting designer at the helm. “This was essentially a larger, more intense version of the lighting rig we’ve had out lately. In London earlier this year, The Wombats played Brixton Academy and the show at Alexandra Palace really grew from that, nothing crazy, but extensions of what was already there to cater for both the larger crowd and the bigger, wider stage that Ally Pally provides. I wanted to keep things as dynamic and as fun for the band on stage and for people in the crowd as it was back in Brixton.” Hill is using a grandMA2 light for control. Read more...

On a large scale: grandMA2 for South African artist Cassper Nyovest

South African design company Formative was contracted by multi-award winning recording artist and record producer Cassper Nyovest to provide full creative direction, production & content design, show and technical production for his #fillupthedome show at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg. The Production Design was based around his very dynamic music and the creation of special ‘moments’, a process that built throughout the show, revealing different elements as the music called for them. Did you know that...

... you can use the AT command together with groups. Program the values for half of your fixtures and create the mirrored values at the other half group with inverted selection order.

Did you know that...

... fade and delay times for each preset type can be edited inside the sequence executor sheet. If preset type time is set to anything other than none, cue fade and delay time will be overwritten by the preset type time for the referring preset type.
