At the heart of nature

For AMWAY’s 20th celebration dinner the Pilanesburg National Park was recreated at the BOMA (Botsalanong Boma is one of South Africa’s best known conferencing venues) in Sun City. AMWAY (short for American Way) is an American company using a multi-level marketing model to sell a variety of products, primarily in the health, beauty and home care markets. As guests sat around a roaring fire the rustic mood was given a modern twist with a significant collection of lighting equipment supplied by Kilowatt AV.

Their client, Red Hot Events, commissioned Kilowatt AV to deliver the full technical and set solution for the event. Lighting control was a grandMA2 full-size and the lighting fixtures included Clay Paky Sharpy and multiple Robe moving lights, together with Robert Juliat Aramis follow spots and Philips Showline SL Nitro 510 Strobes.

Kilowatt AV are known for creating inspiring experiences and ensuring each occasion has its own personal signature. In this case they designed and manufactured giant animal heads which helped create the overall backdrop. They also supplied six 3m diameter helium balloons, printed with the Amway logo, which floated above the crowd.

“The client’s expectations were exceeded with our custom set and decor elements -   Kilowatt AV is very strong at this style of custom theming”, said Neil Zaayman, national sales manager for Kilowatt AV.
