grandMA2 bei „Path of Pearls“
Mit dem Event “Path of Pearls” wurde der Start für Manama als arabische Kulturhauptstadt 2012 inszeniert. Als Veranstaltungsort wurde die zum Meer gewandte Seite des Bahrain National Museums gewählt. Lichtdesigner Luc Peumans von „Painting with Light“ aus Belgien entschied sich für die Show 1 x grandMA2 full-size, 1 x grandMA2 light sowie 2 x MA NPU (Network Processing Unit) zu verwenden.
Neben einem Orchester traten 100 Tänzer und neun Akrobaten im Rahmen der Show auf einer mehrstöckigen Bühne auf. Für „Path of Pearls“ kam außerdem der größte bisher in der Region eingesetzte LED-Screen zum Einsatz, der mit einer Fläche von 300 Quadratmetern beeindruckte.
Eclipse Staging Services aus Dubai lieferte das Licht- und Video-Equipment.
