“Worship Central” on tour with grandMA2

Sam Tamplin, lighting designer and MD of flourishing Brighton-based rental company TSL Ltd has just returned from a successful tour of France and the UK with the popular Church band Worship Central, accompanied by his recent purchase, a grandMA2 full-size lighting desk.

The grandMA2, supplied by MA Lighting’s UK distributor Ambersphere Solutions, made the perfect tour companion for Tamplin. “As a lighting designer, there is no doubt in my mind that the grandMA2 provides all the requirements I have for creative lighting design, and the demands of the show’s networking needs, in a most effective and user-friendly way. It’s been brilliant to have the grandMA2 on tour these past few weeks,’ observes Tamplin.

The grandMA2 is TSL’s first purchase from Ambersphere Solutions and Tamplin has found it a powerful and intuitive control solution. “There is a clear synergy between the professional rental and design service we offer at TSL, and the high-quality, feature-packed products designed by MA Lighting,” he says. “As we serve the needs of the theatre, festival and concert touring market, and take on more large scale arena shows alongside our bespoke exhibition and event design, it made sense to invest in a grandMA2 desk which is entirely at home in any of our customers’ working environments”.

“It also helps that we have known the team at Ambersphere Solutions a long time, the after sales service they offer together with the advice they are happy to give at any time, even after office hours, is second to none. I’m impressed that Clay Paky and MA Lighting have been brought together under one roof, it’s a strong alliance for Ambersphere to have created,” continues Tamplin.

“Ensuring we offer the very best kit on the market to our customers is of paramount importance, and as well as offering it for rental, we want to ensure our customers get the most out of this exceptional desk and so we offer hands-on training here from our Brighton base. All in all it was a natural decision to invest in the grandMA2 console. Its features make it reliable, effective and robust….just perfect for us and our customers.”
